Sophia is ONE!

I had the pleasure of photographing Sophia for her 9 month pictures then again at her one year birthday.  I can't believe how much she had grown in just a few short months.  That first year just flies by!  Sophia's mom, Elizabeth really needs to go into the party planning business.  She knows how to throw one!  From the food to the decorations down to the candy table (the kids favorite) nothing was spared!

Happy 4th of July!

I'd like to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July!!  Today is one of my favorite holidays.  I just love family BBQ's, parades, swimming and of course the fireworks.  Our family celebrated our 4th of July a day early this year since the holiday fell in the middle of the week.  We had a great time eating, swimming and letting off some fireworks.  I took several pictures of the fireworks display, but this has to be my favorite of the bunch.  You can see the lighting off of as well as the burst. I even used my 18-55mm kit lens, so if you have a DSLR this type of image is easy to achieve in manual mode.

My settings were ISO 320, f/14 bulb exposure for 3 sec.

Amelia - 6 months

I had the pleasure of photographing my niece for her 6 month photos.  Even though I'm a little biased, I'm sure you'll all agree that she is just the cutest little thing!

Eden's Gotcha Day - Red Thread Sessions

Recently I had my very first Red Thread Session with a great family.  Evan and Elizabeth brought home their beautiful baby girl, Eden.  It was late at night, but Eden was a trooper about meeting all her new friends and family members.

Squeaks and Beeps

I was honored my good friend, Michele Dawbarn asked me to photograph her clothing line, Squeaks and Beeps.  Their new summer clothing line Delicious Summer Collection has just been debuted!  Michele's husband, John, is an amazing graphic artist.  He designed all the characters on the shirts and also the artwork on the photographs.  If you have a little girl who likes to twirl in skirt you definitely have to check out their site!

Happy Birthday, Natalie!

Birthday parties are so much fun at my friend Michele's store!  Over the weekend we celebrated my niece Natalie's 7th birthday at Big Day Boutique and Events with a model party.  All the girls received before pictures, a makeover, after pictures and participated in a fashion show.  They had a little fun dancing too!  I really enjoy photographing these model parties.  The girls LOVE their own personal photo shoot!

Newborn photo shoots are one of my favorite sessions.  I had the pleasure of photographing my newest nephew Drew.  Isn't he just the cutest??! (okay, I may be a bit biased, but he seriously is the cutest!)
